Services and Prices

Think of the financial commitment you’re making as an investment in your future health which can save you pain and money in later years. The financial commitment is also temporary, but my goal is to make your commitment to exercise permanent, by leaving you with enough knowledge to work out safely and enjoyably for years to come.

Prices range between $65 and $70.00 for one-on-one training, with the cost depending on the number of sessions booked. Work with a partner or a friend and we can arrange a very reasonable rate. I often work with couples who do the work together, or split the hour between them.

Here’s what happens. Our first session will be a detailed assessment, including:

  • Health history
  • Heart rate baseline and exercise target range
  • Blood pressure
  • Fitness level (cardiovascular capability, flexibility, strength)
  • BMI (body mass index)
  • Body measurements
  • Postural analysis
  • Flexibility/strength assessment
  • Goal-setting
  • Nutrition analysis

This assessment provides a baseline against which we can measure success. With the assessment in mind, I will design a detailed program that you can easily follow, including pictures and a tracking sheet, for both cardio and strength training.

Many exercises can be done using body weight only, however, a few free weights will add both variety and challenge to your workouts. If you have equipment, we will use it; if you need more as you progress, I will provide suggestions on what to buy and where to buy it. Outfitting a home gym does not have to cost a fortune.

The minimum time period that I will work with someone new is 3 months (minimum of 6 sessions). We need this time to ensure that you are comfortable with your exercises and safe, and that you know how to progress over time. Some people need 2 or 3 sessions per week, others twice per month; it all depends on your needs — and how disciplined you are! In any case, you will find that we can come up with a price that works for both of us.
